MNVS requests Dy Director of Education
Need relief in school tuition fees

NASHIK: The schools are closed for the last year and a half due to the Covid-19 outbreak and online education has been started. However, online learning has its limitations. While many parents have become unemployed, they are struggling to pay entire fees to school management. Against this backdrop, Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS) has asked Deputy Director of Education Nitin Upasani to give concessions in school tuition fees.

The school has a policy of not allowing students who have not paid their tuition fees to participate in online classes. In fact, under the Right to Education Act, no child can be deprived of education. The order has been issued by the government. However, the private school administration is arbitrarily ignoring all these orders and rules, the statement said. As the school is closed, facilities like laboratory, computer room, ground, library and others are not in use.

However, parents are being asked to pay the full fee every year. Educational institutions may also face financial difficulties. However, it is wrong to charge full fees. The statement also demanded a 40 per cent discount on annual tuition fees (excluding various activities) to provide relief to parents during the Covid-19 period.

Statements of various demands were given to Deputy Director of Education Nitin Upasani. At the time MNVS District President Kaushal Patil, State Executive Member Shashikant Chaudhary, Umesh Bhoi, Nashik Road President Nitin Dhanapune, Vice President Sagar Dani, Ranjan Pagare and others were present.
