NASHIK: The ST Corporation has started releasing long-distance buses for Nagpur and Latur from Tuesday after decline in the positivity rate. Earlier, buses were plying for Aurangabad, Pune, Jalgaon, Borivali Thane and other districts. Due to the increasing number of cases, the service of ST Corporation was halted as per the directions of the state government. But now that the situation is under control, the ST Corporation has been given permission for passenger transport.
Against this backdrop, steps have been taken to start buses on long haul routes as well as inter-district passenger transport. With this in view, buses have been started on NashikNagpur and Nashik-Latur routes from the Nashik division. Senior ST officials said that after the response to the long-haul buses, more buses will be started on other routes. The bus service is expected to resume at full capacity in the next few days.
