NASHIK: Nashik cricketer and Ranji player, Satyajit Bachchav, has been selected by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the Auction List for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The Indian Premier League Player Auction list is out with a total of 590 cricketers set to go under the hammer during the two-day mega auction, which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.
This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament. Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players, and seven belong to Associate Nations.
In this, Satyajit of Nashik will also have to face the auction process. Satyajit has become an important bowler of the Maharashtra team due to his excellent, consistent performance in the last two, three Ranji seasons. Satyajit took seven wickets in 22 overs in six matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament in November this year at the Elite A Group in Lucknow.
He took 3 and 2 wickets against Goa and Puducherry respectively and played an important role in the big victory of the Maharashtra team. While representing Maharashtra in first-class cricket, Satyajit has taken 78 wickets in 23 matches so far.
