Even as Nashik city continues to witness a spike in the COVID numbers, violation of the social distancing norms is being witnessed in main market areas of the city. People are carrying on their purchasing without maintaining social distancing despite the COVID scare.
Nashikites had spent Saturday and Sunday for shopping. As they gathered in large numbers at main market areas, there can be a possibility of a rise in corona cases.
The number of cases in Nashik city is increasing fast. The number of cases has surged over 350. People gathered in Shalimar, Main Road and Ravivar Karanja. This had caused traffic congestion in these areas on Sunday.
People were seen flouting social distancing norms. Most failed to wear the mask. Though municipal corporation has ordered to open shops on the odd-even basis, it was seen not being followed up.
