The district administration has successfully managed to cripple the COVID-19 crisis to an extent as the proportion of confirmed cases is far less than the patients testing negative for the pandemic, stated District General Hospital Dr Anant Pawar on Friday.
He said that 6.48 percent samples have tested positive for the pandemic while 71.22 per cent are negative, and added that the curbs enforced by the authorities prevented the situation from spiralling out of hand.
He further said that this district’s index COVID-19 case has been cured and discharged from the District Civil Hospital after completion of two-week isolation.
He also attributed the plummet in the cases to the diligence of the citizens who are sincerely adhering to the lockdown guidelines.
Till Friday, 740 swab samples have been sent for testing, out of which, 527 have tested negative while the remaining reports are awaited, he apprised.
