After a drop in temperature from 13.7 degrees on Wednesday to 11.8 degrees on Thursday in Nashik, the city again experienced slight rise in its minimal. The city yesterday recorded a minimum temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29.0. Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai however predicted dry weather ad cooler temperatures for the next four days in Nashik. Meanwhile, Mahabaleshwar was coldest at 12.0 degrees in the state yesterday. Ahmednagar recorded 13.5 degress, Jalgaon 12.8, Malegaon 14.6, Sambhajinagar 15.4 and Mumbai 20.2.
While the minimum temperature in the state is decreasing, once again the climate has changed, and now the minimum temperature has started to increase. Due to this, now the cold in Maharashtra is seen to be reducing somewhat. Although Niphad recorded a low of 9.1 degrees Celsius, the rest of the state is expected to see a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius, the meteorological department said.
In Western Maharashtra and Marathwada, except for night and morning temperatures, the regions will experience heat throughout the day. Mumbai and Thane will not be an exception to this. In short, the weather department has given indications that the cold will be somewhat reduced at the end of the week.
At present, there is heavy snowfall in the mountainous areas, but in the plain areas of the states in the north of the country, due to the presence of rain, a big difference in weather is being seen. There has been a drop in temperature in the Delhi NCR area and due to rain showers in Delhi itself, the pollution level has reduced somewhat and the visibility has also improved. According to IMD, it will rain in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday as well.
The Meteorological Department also explained some reasons for this unseasonal rain. Western disturbance is becoming active in the hilly areas from today (February 3), and its direct effects will be seen in the plains. Due to this, between the 3rd and 5th of February, rain will occur again. The meteorological department has predicted that the amount of fog will increase once again from February 7. Gulmarg, Anantnag, Kishtwar, Poonch and Pulwama parts of Jammu and Kashmir, which were barren due to the stormy snowfall, are once again covered in snow. There is no different picture in Himachal Pradesh. Even in Uttarakhand, due to snowfall in the areas of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, a blanket of snow is being seen in the temple area.
