NASHIK :
The number of new novel Coronavirus infections in the district recorded to 58 including 26 cases in Nashik city and 32 new cases in rural areas on Saturday, bringing the tally of positive patients to 1509, the district administration sources confirmed. The outbreak has claimed four lives, while a total of 1006 patients recovered fully in the district yesterday.
In the reports received from private labs during the day, a total of 7 new positive cases have been found including one case each from pumping station road Gangapur road, Thakare bungalow, Sardar chowk, Pundit colony, Darusalam colony, and Madsangvi, While, as per the report received by the district administration, 20 patients tested positive for Covid-19 which included 3 patients from Naikwadipura in old Nashik, 3 from Motha Rajwada Wadala, 2 from Panditnagar in new Nashik, one from old Cidco, two from Peth road Panchavati, one each from Sinnar phata, Deolali Camp, Nag chowk Panchavati, Bhavaniprasad row house, Bhavaninagar Takli road, Vidhatenagar Ashoka marg, and Gulmohornagar Mhasrul. With this, the total number of COVID Positive cases rose to 395 in Nashik city.
While 28 new positive cases have been surfaced in rural areas including 9 from Dhyane in Malegaon taluka, 11 from Manmad, one case each from Soygaon, Chandwad, Niphad, Shirasgaon, Dabhadi and Vadgaon tribal vasti, apart from 3 cases from Malegaon. This has brought the number of COVID patients in rural areas to 249, while four patients died, thus bringing the total number of casualties in the district to 93.
Yesterday, a total of 33 patients got cured thus adding the total number of recovered cases to 1006.
Meanwhile, till date, 13,247 swabs across the district have been sent for testing. Out of this 1154 tested negative, and 1489 tested positive. Of these, 390 patients are undergoing treatment, while reports are pending for 211 cases.
Meanwhile, 157 new suspected patients have been admitted. This includes 85 suspected patients from Nashik city, 11 from the district hospital, 52 from rural and 6 from Malegaon.
