NASHIK: A total of 6,914 cases are still pending with the Tribal Caste Verification Committee in Nagar and Nashik districts and it is hoped that all educational cases will be settled by the end of July. As many Gram Panchayats were recently formed in the tribal areas of the district, many cases of verification of caste of Scheduled Tribes were submitted to the Tribal Caste Verification Committee. About 3,000 cases are related to the elections and work is underway to investigate them.
Priority will now be given to verifying the cases of candidates who have won the elections. Therefore, the majority of the three thousand pending cases will be returned in relation to the files. The flow of educational matters is always with the committee. About 100 cases are filed every month. They are disposed of from time to time. At present the committee has about 2500 academic cases are pending.
The members of the committee have expressed confidence that these cases will be settled by the end of July due to the results of 10th and 12th. Apart from education and elections, about 1,400 cases are pending. These cases are being investigated. The corona has also affected the functioning of the government offices as it has been present at only fifty per cent since last year. Now that Corona’s influence has diminished, there will be a 100 percent presence in the office in the next few days, so it is hoped that more will come to work.
