Students send letters to PM

NASHIK: A few decades ago, people wrote letters to their loved ones and sent them through post offices, telegram, and other sources. In recent times, post offices and letter writing are something associated with the old times. With the fast messaging apps and superfast internet speed, everyone chooses social media apps for communication.

The trend of letters and post offices has started fading away. In addition, the younger generation isn’t aware of such concepts like post offices, letters, envelopes, telegram, etc. The school students need to be aware of historic communication mode and preserve it for the future generation.

As a result, on behalf of Nashik Post Office, to celebrate the ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ year i.e. 75 years of India’s Independence, students of Vidya Vikas Madhyamuk Vidyakaya, Duttnagar, Chunchale, wrote letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The topics for the letters were ‘India in the year 2047’ and ‘Veer Savarkar’s exceptional work.’ Students expressed their thoughts in their letters and enjoyed the post office’s initiative to revive old communication methods. Headmistress Sangeeta Mallikar, Balasaheb Khemnar, R.G. Patil, and others were present at the occasion.
