87 more cops test positive of COVID-19 in the state

MUMBAI :

In the past 24 hours, 87 policemen have tested positive for novel coronavirus hence taking the tally of infected cops to 1,758, informed Maharashtra Police on Sunday.

Till now, the police force has mourned the deaths of 18 cops who succumbed to the contagion. Recently, an Assistant Sub-inspector and a constable passed away in Mumbai after getting infected.

Meanwhile, 673 personnel have valiantly defeated Corona as they are cured of the pandemic.
