Bhujbal takes review of govt medical college and PG institute

NASHIK :

State Food and Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Friday took stock about a proposal to start government medical college and a post-graduate medical institute in Nashik. Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has submitted a proposal regarding this to the government.

Bhujbal took information about the current status of the proposal from a special executive officer of medical education and research department Dr Sandip Gundre and instructed to follow up the matter and fulfil necessary things.

Bhujbal is taking efforts for the start of government postgraduate college and medical college in divisional referral hospital here.

Some days ago he had conducted a meeting with Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh, Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope, principal secretary (health) Pradip Vyas, secretary (medical education) Dr Sanjay Mukharjee, director (medical education) Dr Tatyarao Lahane and Vice-Chancellor of MUHS Dr Dilip Mhaisekar.

Meanwhile, Bhujbal took the information in detail about the proposal from convener Dr Gundre in the form of presentation.
