City has 58 high-risk persons

The number of coronavirus patients is rising in Nashik city and has increased to 18 on Tuesday. On Monday, a woman doctor working in a private hospital and is a resident of General Vaidyanagar in Dwarka area had tested positive. The report of a 20-year-old woman who came to Bajrangwadi and died was received positive on Tuesday. As a result, the number of patients in the city has risen to 18. Meanwhile, a survey in Bajrangwadi has been undertaken again Nashik Municipal Corporation has started to spray disinfectant there.

The health department has started to trace those people who came in contact with the pregnant woman. Youth who is native of Uttar Pradesh and working as a truck cleaner in Navi Mumbai had tested positive on April 15. As a result, social welfare hostel in Bajrangwadi area had been declared as containment area as a youth was residing in a shelter home at the hostel.

A total of 26 new suspects have been admitted to hospital on Monday to NMC and private hospitals. Three doctors and one pharmacist were tested positive in the period between April 26 to May 1. 48 suspects were being treated at Dr Zakir Hussain hospital on Sunday. The number of citizens returned from coronavirus affected countries has been reached 979 till Monday (May 4). Of them, a home quarantine period of 687 persons has been completed. After admitting 726 suspects to hospitals in the city so far, 687 were discharged after they got cured. Of the total 726 swabs which have been sent till Sunday, 567 were tested negative. So far, 18 positive patients have been found in the city.

A total of 554 citizens came to the city from various parts of the state. The health survey in Govindnagar, Navshya Ganpati temple area in Gangapur Road, Dhongadenagar area, in Nashik Road, Bajrangwadi and Sanjeevnagar area, Ambad-Satpur link road which had been declared as restricted areas had been completed.

NMC health department is conducting health survey door to door in Vrindavan Nagar area in Mhasrul, Savatanagar, New Nashik, Uttam Nagar, New Nashik, Malpani Saffron, Pathardi Phata and Satpur Colony. The department was monitoring 58 high-risk and 332 low-risk persons in 10 containment areas in the city till Monday.
