Crop loan worth Rs 332 crore has been disbursed to 10,000 farmers so far. Crop loan will be disbursed to more numbers of farmers addressing difficulties in disbursal process, informed District Collector Suraj Mandhare.
A weekly meeting was organised on Wednesday at the district collectorate to discuss the crop loan issue. Mandhare was speaking at that time. Zonal manager of Bank of Maharashtra Balasaheb Tavre, manager Ardhadu Shekhar, deputy district registrar Gautam Balsane and bank representatives were present.
The District Collector stated that district administration, district lead bank and deputy district registrar are taking efforts to disburse crop loan to more number of farmers clearing all difficulties in disbursal process.
If those farmers who pending other loans than Mahatma Jyotirao Phule farmer loan waiver scheme repay it immediately, they will become eligible to get a new loan. They should contact banks and make the fulfilment of requirements, he urged.
Planning is being made to ensure that farmers would get crop loan earlier with the organisation of meeting every week to address difficulties of banks. Problems of the banks are being solved immediately. Nodal officials have been instructed to increase loan disbursal work at a zonal level every 15 days and its follow up is being taken up, Mandhare informed.
Banks should use digital method maximum for disbursal of a loan in the wake of coronavirus, hence farmers will get a loan in time. Talathis will be instructed to use an online method for registration of load on 7/12 extract. Banks should inform farmers about crop loan through bulk SMSes and ensure that it will reach to them, he added.
