Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal immersed his mother Chandrakanta’s ashes in Ramkund of Godavari river here on Monday.

A three-time legislator from the Matunga seat in Mumbai, the senior BJP leader passed away on June 5.
Earlier Piyush alighted at the government guest house in the morning while former Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan also arrived to pay his respects to the deceased.
The railway minister who was accompanied by few members of his family and party followed social distancing and completed the rituals in half an hour before boarding a train for Mumbai from Nashik Road railway station.
