Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday announced seven pointers for reducing splurge at the Raj Bhavan so as to contribute more money to the kitty for crippling the COVID-19 crisis.
Among the series of austerity measures as detailed by the official communique, the two crucial pointers are that there will be no new regular recruitment in Raj Bhavan until further orders.
While, the second one mandates that interactions with the Vice-Chancellors and various officers will be held through video conference in order to avoid any travel expenses.
Another significant pointer bars the commencement of new construction / repairing works while permitting the completion of ongoing projects. Similarly, the proposal for the purchase of new car has been deferred.
