Leopard attacks biker in Sinnar

SINNAR: In Kasarwadi village of Sinnar tehsil, around midnight, a leopard attacked and injured a biker. As this is the fourth incident of leopard attack, there is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers.

Bappi Ghosh (31) works as a cook on a Chinese Connor cart in Chas village was attacked. He was on his way to Kasarwadi from Chas on a motorcycle at around 11.30 am on Saturday when the leopard attacked his two-wheeler on the Chas Kasarwadi bridge. In the attack, Ghosh fell off his bike and got injured. Meanwhile, Shankar Sahane, a local of Chas Kasarwadi, picked up the injured Ghosh and took him to the hospital for treatment.

The villagers have demanded immediate action against the frequent attacks on leopard drivers. More information about the incident is that while his two-wheeler was on the Mhalungi river bridge, a leopard sitting on the spot grabbed Bappi Ghosh’s two-wheeler. Ghosh suffered minor injuries to his right arm in the incident and has got seven stitches on his head. In a state of panic, a motorcycle fell.

He was rushed to a private hospital at Chas Sinnar. Meanwhile, the forest department recently conducted public awareness in the area, including Chas village. Patrolling were also carried out in the area. However, the forest department said that no leopard was seen.
