NASHIK: Shri Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj Yatra was attended by over 35,000 Warkaris this year in Trimbakeshwar. Last year, the pilgrimage was not held. Although the Sant Nivruttinath Yatra was canceled at the government level this year, 35000 devotees were arrived in Trimbakeshwar in the last two days including Ekadashi yesterday.
At the footsteps of Saint Nivruttinath, the Warkaris prayed for the destruction of Covid and better health for everyone. On the occasion a demand was made in the felicitation ceremony held after Mahapuja that development work of Sant Nivruttinath temple area should be given impetus through the Prasad Yojana.
The official Mahapuja of Saint Nivruttinath was performed by Nagaradhyakshya Purushottam Lohgaonkar. MLA Hiraman Khoskar had joined the puja. MLA Khoskar said that he would draw the attention of the government for the development of the temple.
Famous kirtankar Chaitanya Maharaj Wadekar joined the puja. Charity Commissioner Jaisingh Zapate, Assistant Charity Commissioner Ram Lipte Bhausaheb Gambhire, Inspector Zade were also present on the occasion. While following the Covid protocol, devotees were entering the temple through the east door and leaving the temple through the west door.
Warkari Dindis made a little presence, but bhajankirtan was going on making the feel of yatra. In the evening, the silver chariot of Saint Nivruttinath was taken out for Kushavarta. Meanwhile, Santveer Bandatatya Karadkar slammed the government for its liquor policy, suggesting sarcastically that it should also be made available in the vegetable market.
