NASHIK :
A five-year-old leopard was caught by the Forest department at Darna Sanghvi village in Niphad taluka of the district on Wednesday.

After sighting the leopard in the fields of the village, the locals had complained to the Forest department on Sunday last.
Acting on the complaint, the Forest officials had laid a trap in the farm of one Dagu Khandu Karpe, who saw the trapped leopard early this morning and informed the Forest officials.
The Forest officials took the big cat in a vehicle and later released it in forest area, sources said.
